When I tell people I’m an oral historian (and then tell them what that means), almost everyone says something along the lines of, “Life history interviews? I've been meaning to do something like that with my family.” I saw that we all want to preserve the cherished stories of our loved ones in some way, but often cannot find the time, space, means, or sometimes even courage to do so. So I decided to apply my professional experience in response to that desire.
Using oral history interviewing, I create personal family heirlooms: films, audio recordings, and/or photo storybooks for you and your family and friends. The heirlooms make a meaningful gift for all occasions and celebrations, from birthdays and anniversaries, to reunions and memorials. The result is a reflective and personal piece of family memorabilia to treasure for generations. Please contact me for more information or samples of work.
